Will the fishing industry ever agree to give us penguins some space during breeding & moulting season? Will the now elusive sardines recover & return? So many questions, so little time.

Come on PE, its is not just about us penguins. Oil spills affect our fish https://t.co/hUvP4X5G9o don't grow, their livers are enlarged oil changes heart & respiration rates,causes fin erosion & reproduction impairment. Oil adversely affects eggs and larval survival.Time to ACT.

Newly appointed Min of Environment, Forestry and Fisheries, Ms @BarbaraCreecy_ hosting the first sixth administration MinMec (Min and MECs) on envitonment. The meeting discusses and agrees on Programmes for the environment sector in alignment with priorities of government.

Dr L. Pichegru - "Bunkering ops started a few years ago in Algoa Bay without any input from environmentalists or scientists. 2 oil spills already occurred.
1st in 2016 "only" involved 100L of oil- 120 penguins affected. Now 200 to 400 L were spilled.” @rbsherley @Katta_Ludynia

@Gary22k @SANCCOB @BarbaraCreecy_ Sad to say the numbers are increasing. This oil spill may be the final chapter of our story. What can you do to help? Citizens of the EC rise up. Prevention is better than cure. Ship-to-ship bunkering may be profitable for the chosen few but no money will buy biodiversity back
