Let's keep faith communities working together to breakdown the barriers of ignorance. By working together we strive to create friendships and as a consequence we become friends - and friends look-out for each other.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the #Sikh community in #Derby following the act of vandalism at Guru Arjan Dev Ji Gurudwara. We condemn all acts of violence against communities and Places of Worship.
A brief statement if you've not seen it.

All visitors (from any caste, creed, ranking, social status) to Gurdwaras were asked to first partake in Langar before seeing Guru Amardas (First Pangat, then Sangat). When Emperor Akbar visited, he too first sat as a commoner in the Langar, and then had a meeting with the Guru.
Guru Amardas Ji lifted the status of women and gave them equality with men. He strictly prohibited practices such as Sati (the burning of the wife on her husband's funeral pyre), Parda (veil to cover the face), and encouraged widow-remarriage
Today I bid farewell to my My Brother in law and my best friend Mandeep Singh today . Mandeep your will always be in our hearts. I pray waheguru keeps you in his Charan. We will meet again one day. ❤️😍🙏
