The dedicated stall set up under the OFSDP-II has emerged as a major attraction at the five-day exhibition organised in Bhubaneswar, as part of the celebrations marking the second anniversary of the Odisha Government led by Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi.
The stall showcased the transformative impact of the project by providing tribal and agricultural producers with a platform to display and market their indigenous products.
Members of Vana Surakhya Samitis (VSSs), Madhusmita Dehuri and Phula Majhi highlighted their journey towards economic empowerment, demonstrating how project-supported interventions have enabled them to adopt sustainable livelihood activities such as mushroom cultivation, vermicomposting, mustard farming, and oil extraction.
The OFSDP-II stall at the ongoing five-day exhibition at IDCO Ground, Bhubaneswar, set up on the occasion of 2nd anniversary of Odisha Government led by Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi is providing a unique opportunity for tribal and agricultural producers to display and promote their indigenous products.
Visiting the stall, Smt. Rinku Kumari, Joint Project Director, OFSDS, said that the programme aims to strengthen market linkages for the producers and explore digital and online marketing avenues to expand their reach across India and global markets.
On occasion of the completion of two years of the Odisha Government under the leadership of Hon'ble Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi, OFSDP-II has set up a vibrant exhibition-cum-sale stall showcasing a rich array of forest and agriculture-based products brought by members of Vana Surakhya Samitis (VSSs).
Members from Karanjia, Dhenkanal, Rairangpur and Boudh Multi-Product Clusters are participating in the five-day exhibition, which commenced today. Visitors can explore and purchase a variety of locally produced items, including honey, sal resin (jhuna), pickles, turmeric, basmati rice, sesame oil, mustard oil and many other value-added products.
The exhibition offers VSS members from across Odisha a platform to showcase their products, connect with consumers, and expand market opportunities. It will help promote local enterprises, strengthen livelihoods, and enhance incomes of forest-dependent communities.

At the State-Level #WorldEnvironmentDay celebration in Bhubaneswar, organised by the #Odisha Forest, Environment & Climate Change Department, OFSDP-II proudly showcased how forest communities are turning conservation into opportunity and change on the ground.
Hon’ble Minister Shri Ganesh Ram Singhkhuntia marked the occasion by participating in the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” plantation drive and inaugurating the Departmental exhibition. He also visited the #OFSDP-II stall, where he viewed a wide range of products prepared by members of Vana Surakhya Samitis and appreciated their efforts in promoting a greener, more self-reliant future.
The exhibition showcased sustainable use of forest resources in creating new avenues of livelihoods, empowering women, strengthening local economies, and promoting conservation-led development.
Under OFSDP-II, six Multi-Product Clusters (MPCs) have been established, under which six multi-product companies are currently operational in Odisha. They are supporting value addition and improving market linkages for forest-based enterprises. Building on this progress, preparations are underway to establish three more MPCs in the coming days.
Shri Bhaskar Jyoti Sarma, Principal Secretary, FE&CC, Dr. K. Murugeshan, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests & HoFF, and Shri G. Rajesh, Additional PCCF (Nodal) & Director, OFSDP-II, among others, attended the event.
This #WorldEnvironmentDay, Odisha celebrates a remarkable green transformation through #OFSDP-II, which has restored over 56,000 hectares of land through plantation, preservation, and soil and moisture conservation initiatives.
Reflecting this year's theme, "Inspired by Nature. For Climate. For Our Future," these efforts are strengthening ecosystems, enhancing climate resilience, and creating sustainable livelihood opportunities for communities across the state.

On this #WorldEnvironmentDay, Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi will lay the foundation stones for 8 new Multi Product Clusters (MPCs), marking a major milestone in #Odisha's journey towards empowering forest-dependent communities and strengthening the green economy.
While 3 MPCs will be established under OFSDP-II, 5 additional clusters will be developed through OFSDS–OMBADC, unlocking the economic potential of forest resources across the State.
Under the Department of Forest, Environment & Climate Change, these clusters will open new avenues for value addition, entrepreneurship, job creation, and sustainable livelihoods.
From aspiration to action, resilience to leadership, #OFSDP-II is redefining women-led development in #Odisha. Under the project, 4406+ Women SHGs have earned sustainable livelihoods, strengthening rural economies, & becoming champions of self-reliance and environmental stewardship.
With ₹31.39 Crore disbursed as revolving fund support till March 2026, and a remarkable 72.74% repayment rate, the project has benefitted 38,147 females transforming their lives into entrepreneurs, change-makers, and architects of a greener future.
