If the verdict in my case in Delaware is not overturned, it will be used as precedent in every fake shareholder case for every company incorporated in Delaware for the rest of time!
@usamaClick @cameronhenhawke@PaddleHQ We were able to resolve the issue with Paddle, so no migration was needed. I suggest reaching out to their support with as many details and arguments as possible. Their team was really helpful in our case, and you might be able to resolve it too!
We’re disappointed after receiving a 7-day termination notice just a week after verification & gaining paid customers. With no clarification or opportunity to fix whatever led to that decision. To clarify: PaperAnimator does NOT use generative AI. @PaddleHQ , please review.
@biancadragan@PaddleHQ Hi Bianca, correct, we are currently in touch via email. Issues from my post have successfully been resolved. Thanks for reaching out!
@cameronhenhawke@PaddleHQ Indeed. As we explore migration options to keep our customers’ experience uninterrupted, we found that moving from Paddle to other providers can take up to 2 weeks. With a 7-day cancellation notice, this timing seems highly impractical and disruptive.
@cameronhenhawke@PaddleHQ Banning a small business after approval under the umbrella of “risk management” doesn’t seem like it aligns with policy, but I’ll have to consult further on that.
Sponsorships are broken.
- As a creator, I don't want to be told what to say.
- As a follower, I don't trust sponsored words (unless there's skin in the game).
Greedy creators will take any sponsor for more $$$ (check @bryan_johnson's video calling out the AG1 influencers program).
Great creators like Theo will take the blame if followers dislike the brand or if the brand fucks up.
I believe self-sponsored creators are the future — creators selling their own products and taking full ownership.
- As a follower, I spent $2,000 on Bryan Johnson's blueprint diet to put the same thing in my body as he does.
- As a creator, I promote my products only. If you don't like them, call me out. If you really don't like them, you can punch me in the face at my local beach break in Bali (careful, my wife does jiujitsu though).
Theo has a massive audience of developers. Tons of little startup ideas to explore and make enough money to sponsor his team of 4.
@cameronhenhawke Absolutely, even if their policy is evolving or they're managing liability concerns, handling this situation by issuing a suspension notice on a Friday with no transparency is unprofessional. We deserve clarity and honesty, especially during stressful times.
@cameronhenhawke@catalinmpit@MitjaMartini@PaddleHQ Got a termination email yesterday even though we don't use generative AI at all. Seems like it was mistaken for AI, and now we're paying the price.. 😕
@Plinz Intelligence wants to escape, it really likes freedom. Our human intelligence, as a product of natural evolution is starting to migrate to another form. Once it's in a more suitable form form in which it has more freedom, it will happily consume it.
