@waitbutwhy No, they have different artificial sweetener mixture

@SciGuySpace BOOM! What a bombshell

[Dave W Plummer @davepl1968]

I think you'll find the person in front of it all generally gets more praise than the person behind it all.

But when you're standing in the spotlight, remember how you got there, because when it goes out, no one will be there to lead you off the stage.

Death now has a Chuck Norris problem.

@WindowsCentral I never expected this generation to ever be jail broken, with the famous talk from the designer talking about its security measures.
"Short of an ion beam attack" was the target they aimed for I think

[oko yono @okoyonoo]

@MKBHD Yea, the sinophiles might say that this is because those western companies are dumb. But in reality it is because they are more concerned about reliability than short term sales numbers

[Marques Brownlee @MKBHD]

NEW VIDEO - I talked to a few people working at smartphone companies about why not everyone has switched to silicon carbon batteries, and uncovered some interesting concerns about swelling and longevity: https://t.co/jTLLoM6Bn4

[Years Progress @YearsProgress]

2025 is 99% complete.

[Blake Scholl 🛫 @bscholl]

Congrats, Europe—you made it illegal to invent something better than USB-C.

If you’d done this in the USB-A days, we’d never have gotten -C.

[oko yono @okoyonoo]

@jpgodinho @bscholl The micro usb thing was voluntary, this usb c is required. Big difference.

It is incredibly difficult to build a new standard industry wide if there is already a mandate to use a different one. Especially since you can't sell those goods in the eu until the standard is ratified

Videogame executive Xu Bo, said to have more than 100 children, and other Chinese elites are building mega-families by hiring American surrogates. https://t.co/lEIWuoFBlB

Sunset brushstrokes

[oko yono @okoyonoo]

@WSJ That's rich coming from a guy who gained fame from his internet presence. Especially as a thought influencer

[ZooL @ZooL_Smith]

There's this weird trend where companies are building keyboards with the numpad on the left.

What is this about? What's the reasoning behind it and are they actually better or what?

Looks so cursed.

[oko yono @okoyonoo]

@SydneyLWatson @maiab You seriously said that you don't want a Libra child?

WTF girl? Your guy may have odd priorities, but you are not even logical about this

[Dave W Plummer @davepl1968]

It's Pavlovian.

When an expert you trusted is proven wrong, it's an emotional memory that deeply registers.

When an instinct you intuitively felt is proven right, it reinforces that instinct similarly.

Together, they combine to form a deep level of cynicism that is effectively superstition, but comforting to the small mind.

It means you're "not being duped by The Man" and that you're privy to the tribe's "inside information".

[oko yono @okoyonoo]

@richard_casey I don't understand how anyone can see this over investment (both number of companies and monetary amount) and think it is healthy

[Years Progress @YearsProgress]

2025 is 90% complete.

[oko yono @okoyonoo]

@RoninProgrammer @davepl1968 Yes, especially considering that it is just a file browser, and other file browsers can be fast to load without needing preloading shenanigans

[kache @yacineMTB]

how did gabe newell defeat both apple and meta with their 20 billion dollars of investment in the VR compute space while barely lifting a finger??

seriously? how? how did he win against these public company giants? how did he so handily destroy them?
