Before starting this course, I didn't even know that "Green Chemistry" was a thing. As I started doing the weekly assignments and reading the assigned textbook, I realized that Green Chemistry is actually REALLY important and needs to become more widely known.

What I was thinking of is actually known as environmental chemistry. In other words, I think the world needs to become more familiar with green and environmental chemistry all together, so that us humans can work together to impede the destruction of our planet. #prescottchem

Just from hearing the term green chemistry, I thought about recycling and the environment because of the common catch phrase, go green. I learned that Green Chemistry is the design process of chemical products that strive to reduce or eliminate toxic substances.
