bc every thing you automate gets you more away from the authenticity. Plus, once it can be in an automated pipeline, fed from the outside, the chance of that being not a human anymore greatly increases and you can still spam the network more than if you had to do all of this automatically.
Plus, it just means monetisation is off, you can still do it to work up your brand with the posts you write.

I'd just opt for more proof of work to keep quality up.

I understand that its a convenience and I also get that this is super annoying for you or anyone else who runs a business reliant on post scheduling - but from a consumer POV I appreciate that change.

I went down the rabbit hole trying to understand the algo and what it means for posters and our ability to influence the "For You" page.

Buried in the details is also a neat hack for steering your own feed. More on that below.

For posters:

Relationships matter. A lot. (which i reaaally like!)

When you post the content, the algorithm will predict how likely a given of your followers will engage with this post, and also which network cluster of friends/topics your post comes from. If you are part of a repeating pattern of someones friend/cluster you'll also show up more.

The people who follow you are more likely to see your posts than strangers. Mutual follows can get an additional boost when X predicts a real conversation between you.

So curate your circle. Follow people you genuinely want to interact with, reply thoughtfully, and build mutuals around shared interests instead of collecting random connections.

Original posts also have a better path into new networks than replies and reposts. Write things your existing circle will want to discuss or pass on. That is how a post travels beyond your followers.

Ragebait looks much less attractive through this lens. It might generate replies, but it also generates mutes, reports, blocks, and "Not interested." Those negative reactions can wipe out the upside.

Now for the feed hack:

Use "Copy link" on good posts about topics you want more of.

X values the prediction that you will copy a link around 40x more than the prediction that you will like a post.

So if you really want to steer your feed, curate who you follow, choose your mutuals carefully, copy links from the topics/people you want more of, and use "Not interested" or mute on everything pulling it in the wrong direction.

And stop hate-engaging. Every time you open, read, and argue with something you dislike, you are teaching X to serve you more of it.

Its on purpose not meant to be as clean and style-consistent as gather town
