I am here only to remember my reactions and resistance to constant media propaganda supporting wars and protecting the rich and powerful | RT = endorsement

Tusk says Israeli firm NSO allowed Polish Pegasus users to spy on French, Germans and Poles, but not Russians, Belarusians, or North Koreans, and NSO delivered Poles’ private data to the Israeli govt.
Looking forward to every country that signed this pledge condemning the U.S. blockades against Iran and Cuba, which represent both “discriminatory limits on the passage of ships through such waterways in a manner inconsistent with international law” and a “coercive or unilateral action seeking to undermine or circumvent the international order based on international law as reflected in the UNCLOS.”
It says it all when your moral compass only kicks in when some of the world’s most oppressed people fight back with a fraction of the force used against them. The past few years have exposed not just this moral bankruptcy, but the blindness to how such injustice backfires.

Intl lawyer here. Soldiers captured during an intl armed conflict - which applies to Gaza - are POWs not hostages according to the ICRC. The term “hostage” applies to civilians taken by a party in order 2 coerce a 3rd party - which is how Israel uses many Palestinians it captures
Israel seems to be handling this Nobel Peace Prize announcement with about as much sobriety and stability as one has come to expect from this wretched, bloodthirsty rogue nation.
Among the top 3 existential threats to humanity is Israel's large stockpile of nuclear weapons.
When Jake Sullivan was told of South Africa's opposition to the US's support for Israel's Genocide in Gaza, he responded: "Fuck South Africa"
When the Nobel Committee was told of South Africa's Navi Pillay's work to hold Israel accountable for its genocide, they gave her the Nobel Peace Prize.
This is a rebuke of BOTH the Trump AND the Biden administrations' efforts to undermine international law.
Modern Americans, you are not responsible for slavery. You are not responsible for stealing the land and killing almost all native Americans. Those things happened long ago, before you were born. But you are responsible for the stealing of land and the genocide of Palestinians by the state of Israel. These are directly caused by your bombs and your votes today.
@GermanyDiplo I appreciate Germany's feelings. But as someone who lives under US sanctions, let me say this: regret and disagreement do not unfroze bank accounts or health insurance.
The EU has a tool: the Blocking Statute. It should use it to protect those sanctioned for seeking justice.
If You Smell the Foul Odor of a Sewer Rat, Look Around for Mehdi Hasan
"if confirmed": in other words, This Sewer Rat (TSR) doesn't really know if Palestinian militants took children hostage but who cares?
Where things stand in the Iran war:
Iran has a coherent strategic objective: a diplomatic settlement that secures lasting leverage over the Strait of Hormuz, durable economic relief, and protection against renewed war.
The Trump administration, by contrast, has pursued an incoherent strategy from the outset, with objectives ranging from regime change and state collapse to turning Iran into another Libya or even redrawing its borders. Trump has at times suggested these are U.S. objectives, while Vance has characterized some of them as Israeli aims.
To maximize pressure on Trump and secure the favorable, durable settlement it seeks, Iran is likely to continue escalating. It has already dramatically intensified attacks on tankers in the Persian Gulf in recent weeks.
Meanwhile, its allies in Yemen, Ansarullah (the Houthis), are repelling a counteroffensive while continuing to strike sensitive strategic targets in Saudi Arabia, including Riyadh.
Yet Iran still has significant escalation options short of returning to all-out war, particularly ahead of the U.S. midterms. Tehran could pursue measures designed to impose tangible economic and political costs on Trump.
One possibility is further constraining the southern shipping route through Hormuz, including through direct or indirect, covert or overt strikes against the UAE.
Another is a significant move on the nuclear front, which could deliver a major political blow to Trump’s currently publicly stated war objectives.
Options range from formally withdrawing from the NPT and unveiling new nuclear advances to enriching uranium to 90% and, at the most extreme end of the spectrum, testing a nuclear weapon.
Whatever happens, I think there’s a strong possibility Iran has one or more “October surprises” in store for Trump.
⭕️ Benjamin Moser, the Pulitzer Prize-winning biographer and author of "Anti-Zionism: A Jewish History" agreed with the New York Times' main criticism of his new book on Piers Morgan Uncensored on Wednesday.
The Times review said the book "paints a fraught world in black and white" and casts Israelis and Palestinians as "evil perpetrator and a virtuous victim."
"Absolutely correct," said Moser. "I do think it's black and white… There's a colonizer and there's a colonized. There is a victim and there is a [perpetrator].”
