BMC clears footpath encroachments on Bandra’s Hill Road

As part of its ‘Pedestrian First’ drive, the BMC’s H-West ward removed illegal structures, stalls, shops and temporary sheds from Hill Road on Friday.

Demolition action at Manish market, Musafir khana ie Saboo siddique road was taken today. Total 75 temporary stalls, 02 godowns are demolished and immediately crushed in site.

Stretch of road:- From JJ Bridge to Rota Printing press, 1.5km.

Both side footpaths were occupied and one estate plot of 500sqmt, adjacent to Market gate was occupied.

BMC has pulled down 52,448 unauthorised banners, flex boards and posters across Mumbai between January 1 and October 16 this year, as part of a drive to curb city's public spaces from being defaced.

It is also considering making QR codes mandatory on authorised advertising boards to help citizens and officials verify their validity and distinguish them from illegal displays.

Sharing photographs of the three new bridges to be opened tomorrow. Starting with Sion reconstructed railway overbridge near Sion station which replaces a 112-year-old bridge declared unsafe. A mysterious creature captured in camera-trap images near the US-Mexico border has sparked speculation after UFO investigator Jaime Maussan claimed it could be an unknown predator unlike any commonly found on Earth.

Maussan alleges that the animal has been killing and carrying away chickens, roosters and rabbits in Mexico’s Valley of Juárez, a rural farming area along the Rio Grande.

The signal below the Veer Savarkar Flyover at Goregaon MTNL junction (South & East bound) is currently running on a highly unbalanced cycle; roughly 10 secs green and a very long 160 secs red.
