I really enjoyed talking to tons of undergrads about the research our lab does and how they can get involved while at the Undergrad Research Fair. It was definitely giving me flash backs to baby-researcher me getting my start in the @nulearnlab 🥲💜.
A great (albeit rainy) start to @FIT_NGIn today. It’s really refreshing to be surrounded by other infant neuroimagers and really get to appreciate the beauty, nuance, and challenges of big science with small participants. Plus I won a stuffed owl?!
As scientists, we go to conferences but don’t connect with the local community at all.
Thanks to @jscdavis, #BlackInNeuro will be hosting a Brain Carnival during SfN at a local Chicago church for the community to meet Black scientists, play games & learn about the brain 🧠✨
@Imani_Barbarin Currently re-reading Adulthood Rites and the whole Lilith’s Brood series by Octavia Butler ☺️ but just finished the Broken Earth Trilogy by N.K. Jemisin, and recommend that also!
Congratulations to the 2024 Kuchinski Young Investigator Award Santiago Morales, PhD @SantiMoralesPhD@USCDornsife@USCPsychology "A BIOPSYCHOSOCIAL APPROACH TO STUDYING THE DEVELOPMENT OF EMOTIONALITY AND SELF-REGULATION" @isdp2024 https://t.co/oDHbiDHLli via @devpsybio
Hey, early career STEM ed researchers! Do you feel like you didn't get enough quant and measurement training in grad school? There's one more week to apply for FREE year-long training! (Gee, thanks, NSF!)
I know ChatGPT is a highly useful tool and people have been really creative with it, but 95% of my usage thus so far has been “explain *insert stats technique* to me like I’m 5” 😭
Beautifully sunny time at Picnic Day! Tabling at the Children’s Discovery Fair sharing info about @ucdavisbasclab studies and playing some brain games with the kiddos!
Infants & toddlers & preschoolers, oh my!
Come check out my poster today (P3-150) at #CDS2024 to find out more about what 4-48-month-olds are looking at in naturalistic scenes and how it is changing over age.
See below for our published findings on the infant data!
It's official! @Maritza_M_07 has been elected as a CDS Student Board Member!
I highly recommend meeting her (she's one of my favorite people in the world!) and checking out her poster today (P3-89)
