@BoostlyUK have you any suggestions why properties in the Lake District would be 2/3 times higher than booking direct?

Always remember to #bookdirect when looking for a holiday cottage, B&B, glamping site, or even a hotel. Even if you find it on one of the big listing sites, simply do a quick Google of the property and contact them direct. You'll be quids in 😉

@SocksStellar @mountainsandsky There's numerous Facebook groups, dog friendly ones, if you have a dog of course 😂 maybe the higher priced ones solely reply on booking .vom as our group calls it and isn't trying to build their direct booking clients ??

@SocksStellar @mountainsandsky Thats unfortunate! I can only speak for my business and the 3.7k in our group who are trying to raise awareness of #bookdirect and want the best deal for the customer, obviously some don't and solely rely on OTAs.

@SocksStellar @mountainsandsky Have you tried the various Facebook holiday accommodation groups, ie Book Your Holiday Direct with the Owner or have a look on the https://t.co/H82MTyDS6L this is an growing map of properties who's prices will be lower than OTA's.

@SocksStellar @mountainsandsky That's a shame. I'm part of a group of 3.8k hospitality owners worldwide who are promoting this and their prices will be cheaper. Out of interest did you tell the hospitality business in question their prices were higher?
