We’ve got an exciting weekend ahead tuning the new National Policy Framework on AI, which will possibly help inform new legislation on ethical AI in healthcare

It’s encouraging to see the @WhiteHouse proactively recognizing the need for clear policies—this is the right starting point. In the #AI #renaissance , many traditional regulatory approaches may no longer fit; if unchanged, they risk slowing progress and approving technologies only after they’ve become outdated. Policymaking should now focus on creating new, adaptive pathways that can keep pace with innovation

At the same time, as a medical community, we must ensure AI is deployed safely and responsibly. Medical associations have a critical role in shaping this trajectory—setting standards and protecting both providers and patients!
