@ahmedhankir Thanks for being so open with your experiences. Stigma and shame can be massive barriers in accessing help. As a south Asian Mh service provider we are trying our best to be accessible

@MasumaRahim Completely agree. Debanding, redundancies and systemic issues within mental health services is the reason in our opinion why many psychologists seek employment outside the nhs.

Pakistan is unfortunately lagging behind in providing basic psychiatric care. We are failing the citizens of our country by allowing someone to get the point where taking their own life or that of someone else is the only answer.

I work as a Pain Specialist Physiotherapist in a team which incorporates psychologically trained staff e.g. PWP/CBT Therapist/Psychologist.
It's very similar when approaching long term self-management and trying to move them away from injections/tablets/massages
