@KesslerWRLD Should have kept the Mammoth the Utah Hockey Club. Then we could also have the Utah Baseball Club. And change the Jazz to the Utah Basketball Team.
Democracy is literally dying in America unless Democrats can draw congressional districts based on race, count illegal aliens in the census, and end requirements to show an ID to vote.
Once you experience, at least once in your life, being very right when the rest of the world was telling you that you were very wrong, then you become immune to groupthink and herd mentality, as you've learned firsthand that most people don't know what they are talking about:
My whole life I’ve had close friends, coworkers & family on the Left who said & posted their political views. I accepted them, cared deeply for them even though I disagreed. But I find they are not capable of doing the same back. The moment I lived my values out loud—as they do—they essentially cut me off. “Inclusion” & “tolerance” is not a value of the Left. It’s the very last thing they want.
She’s describes Democrats in America perfectly 🔥👇🏼
“Canadian living in America.. I try to understand the people that hate your current administration.”
“When I moved here I believed that this country was built on freedom of speech, individuality, and respect for differing opinions.. far too many of you believe only those freedoms should apply to you and only you.”
“Within a second of somebody thinking differently than you, you will mock them, try to cancel them, and you will shut them out.”
This entire video is spot on!! 🔥👇🏼
You cannot call your political adversaries Nazi fascists and modern day Hitlers and then say political violence is wrong when your deranged lunatic supporters act on your statements and kill or attempt to kill the people you’ve attacked. I will not accept it. No one should.
3 of the worst states with COVID - endless lockdowns, closed schools, mask mandates indoors and outdoors, COVID vaccine mandates and passports based on misinformation from Fauci & CDC - are now saying they'll "uphold scientific integrity"
Absolutely the height of absurdity
I’m so unbelievably sad that the CDC is losing all the folks who told me if I follow the arrows on the floor at the grocery store then I won’t get COVID.
@ReviewsPossum “Unburdened by what has been” is proving the most profound admission of axiom of Democrat world view ever uttered.
It’s all narrative. Facts don’t matter. History doesn’t matter. Just say stuff.
The period from 2020-2022 proved that most people do not think critically and will simply do whatever the majority are doing (doubly true if the media and government tell them to).
This doesn't make me bitter or sad. I just keep it in mind when it comes to everything else.
I still think about this moment a lot.
“Our patience is wearing thin.”
I don’t think I’ll ever forget it. That a president felt comfortable speaking that way to the people is not something I can think of ever happening before.
No offense, but anyone who says they were "misled" during Covid was lazy, cowardly, and/or evil.
The data, evidence, and information were readily available for anyone who dared to think for themselves.
The same folks hand-wringing and screaming "TYRANNY" over the government lay offs didn't give two shits about 27M people being laid off in 2020 during lockdowns.
They didn't care about people losing their livelihoods in the slightest. In fact, they screamed "We're all in this together!" as if to say, "Just deal with it, you selfish piece of shit. It's a PANDEMIC!"
Of note, they also didn't care about people losing their jobs for not wanting a "medication" they didn't need.
Well, government bureaucrat losing your job --
Over-spending is at crisis level. We're all in this together.
Is it stupidity or self-loathing when taxpayers pay 13% state tax and get total and complete incompetence?
What are the wins that California residents point to as points of pride to justify the status quo? Said differently, how much economic and ecological destruction do we need to suffer before a majority say enough is enough and break the Democratic cartel that is ruining our beautiful state.
How many more businesses need to leave? How many hi earning residents need to leave? How much further do test scores need to fall? How much more looting and crime do people need to suffer?
I hope this fire is a wake up call that gross taxation, regulation and moral grandstanding doesn’t equate to effective governance. In fact it enables the exact opposite.
California is riddled with grossly ineffective politicians and bureaucrats.
Much like with alcoholism, the cure starts with deprivation. Giving these people less resources is the critical first step. The second is to replace them, writ large, with people who are resourceful and smart. Find operators willing to spend a few years away from private industry to run our critical organizations.
An entire batch of new people with some modicum of operational experience will then prove what many other places already know: you can do more with less by being transparent, accountable and experienced.
Not experienced in grift, corruption and politics. But experienced in results, metrics and accountability.
Let’s assume for a moment that climate change is the underlying cause of increasing wild fires in California (it’s not btw, but play along)
There’s not much local government can do about climate/weather because they can’t control how much coal China or India are burning
It then becomes incumbent on local government to take actions to protect high risk communities to limit the damage:
-Robust fire depts
-Preventative land management
-Adequate fire-fighting/fire prevention infrastructure
That’s the fundamental role of government and the social contract that gives them the powers they have: to protect the collectively governed where the individual is powerless to do so
California did none of these
Blaming climate change for this disaster is like blaming the rain for not having an umbrella
Climate change is just a red herring they use to distract you from their own corruption and incompetence
I'd like to put into words just how much the election results in the United States mean to me even though I’m not an American. I don't cry much, but I found, to my own surprise, that I was choking up on Tuesday night as the returns rolled in.
I was born and raised in Canada, where we don’t engage in the level of overt and unabashed patriotism of our southern neighbours. In fact, while most people spoke warmly of Americans themselves, their displays of patriotism were seen to be a bit too much, too over-the-top. Garish.
“Sure, we get being proud of your country but maybe just turn it down a notch, eh?”
As a product of this upbringing the pomp and bombast never quite resonated with me. I would say it was corny (and honestly, I still think that can be true at times). It also can’t be overlooked that many Canadians really enjoy imagining themselves as quite similar to Americans, except just a bit more humble and polite. Oh, and with fewer guns. There is a streak of smugness and superiority in there for some, too, though they generally don’t say so in polite company.
This remained my view by default for years; it was one of the many things I just accepted without really questioning it.
