• Deep dive into the architecture of early warning systems

• Examination of existing continental frameworks including the African Union's Continental Early Warning System (CEWS) and Regional Economic Communities' mechanisms.
• Case study analysis of successful early warning interventions in African contexts.
On #DemocracyDay, this report looks at the conceptual & historical aspects of economic justice & democracy and at African alternatives that go beyond liberal democracy. It argues that it’s time for Africans to decolonize and liberate their understanding of democracy. #Africa
We kickoff the second day of the Regional Conference on Sustainable Participation of Youth in Governance in @ecowas_cedeao Region with a recap of essential takeaways and reflections on the discussions from day one.
Led by @paulkuffour, our Network Coordinator, the session afforded participants to follow up on issues of concern from yesterday's discussions, share opinions and interact with ECOWAS officials on some recommendations to strengthen inclusive development in the sub-region.
The event, which is being held in Accra, Ghana, is in collaboration with @WADEMOSnetwork and @giz_gmbh.

In Accra, Ghana, we have initiated a two-day engagement with young people and government officials from the ECOWAS region. CHRDI, in collaboration with FOSDA and with support from OXFAM Ghana, is conducting a consultative meeting centred on the framework developed by FOSDA and CHRDI to establish the ECOWAS Youth Parliament. This initiative aims to enhance youth participation in the ECOWAS Parliament and to promote resilience and peace within our region..@fosdagh@oxfaminghana
