This should not require any “workload”. This should be Standard Operating Procedure to go around. Lots of airports around where they could wait it out if they did not have fuel to hold. I landed at RSW and the aircraft ahead reported a 50kt wind shear the same day. We landed 5 minutes later and it was dead calm. It is a dynamic environment. But we briefed that if we started seeing a shear our bug out was a turn to the south.

@Turbinetraveler It helps to get the wheels on the ground to use TR’s and spoilers. In one video they were traveling on the nose gear. There was a video of a 767 on short final with a nose down attitude. I think it was this one, but AI makes it hard to know for sure anymore.

If the video of the approach that I saw at one point is real, they came in on final approach way above ref speed. Someone in a Citation in CA tried the same trick last week. Be smarter pilots. I can not afford to pay higher insurance rates on my fleet because pilots do things that do not make sense. If you are at ref+50 over the numbers, it is time to go around and try again.

I am not into religion. Yet I liked listening to Kirk. He was a smart guy, and I could learn from him.
I do not think certain segment of our population has the mental capacity to process freedom, and as a result they get confused and do things that really deserves a trip to the mental institution. But we closed down most of them as well. And tell this one that dancing with your FUPA flopping around just looks bad. No self awareness displayed.

Barbara, 63 is a democrat. As a non democrat, non MAGA in the US, we do not want Canada. We do not want 40 million more democrats voting in the US. It would be good to work together on defense issues though. (The world is round. Missiles will come over the arctic from Russia to hit the US. We will shoot some down and they will land in Canada, close to the US border where all Canadians live. Unless we work together and shoot them down in the middle of nowhere, where there are very few if any people).

You look at this wrong. 15% tip is expected. So your $10 meal becomes $11.50. For that, you expect average delivery of service. You just pay the 11.50, and you are done. You also spend 3 hours to eat lunch, because service sucks in Europe. My waiter in the US wants to be good and efficient and earn a 20% tip or more. So for 50 cents more I get great service and can be in and out in 30 minutes, allowing more time to be productive and make more money. I am a transplant from Europe to the US, and much prefer the US system. And in the US, being a waiter is not a career unless you end up in a high end place like a steakhouse. Those waiters can make a really good living. Working as a waiter at a cheap place is a college kid job to make beer and cigarette money. (Or White Claw and weed money these days). By the way, I make a good living. Had a passenger tip me $200 a couple days ago. It did not bother me in the least. Free money is the best kind. And then the guy that serviced our lavatory in Barcelona got a $100 tip. He did not seem offended either.

The dream is alive. I am an immigrant and has accomplished things I never would have in Europe. There is no caste system here. No one cares what your father or grandfather did/was. You stand on your own merits. You can also fail and not achieve the dream. That was a chance I was willing to take. “Some people dream of success. Others wake up and work hard for it”. I am not MAGA. I do appreciate that President Trump is not letting the rest of the world take advantage of the US anymore though. FYI, I didn’t care for Canada when Obama was in office, nor Biden. Who the president is will not affect more than half the US populations opinion. Take a look at your own behavior. Look at Albino Trump (Doug Ford). He was an a-hole before Trump.
