@MarkRitchie_II@markminervini Ahh, so when scaling back, you focus more on the overall equity drawdown rather than the number of losing trades? Thanks again, Mark! Really appreciate you sharing your experience and knowledge. Always learning a lot from you! 🙏
@paulsicatt@markminervini We size based on total equity so unless we've had a decent move +/- 5-10% we don't adjust size as we tend to have several open positions at a time. You can be a granular as you like but they key is to adjust as things advance or especially if/as they contract.
@markminervini Hello @markminervini
When adjusting your position size for the next trade, do you factor in the actual % loss of your total equity from previous trades, or just the number of consecutive losers? For example, 5 losing trades but only -0.5% ROTE overall. Would you still size down?
Professional trading is not about being right or wrong. It’s about seeing the caution signs—the red lights, the green lights, and the yellow flags—and adjusting accordingly.
The market is constantly giving you information. Your job isn’t to prove you’re right. Your job is to recognize when conditions change and yield when necessary.
Those who adapt the fastest, adjust the best, and know when to yield are the ones who stay in the game long enough to win.
Anyone else noticing a lot of names in the medical sector setting up?

The market can turn against us in a single move. Thats why risk management matters. When we're long, always be ready to sell and respect your stops, regrdless of your bias. The market doesnt care about our opinions. Protect your capital 1st opportunities will always come again
David Ryan’s “Just draw a line” is one of the simplest yet most powerful trading concepts I’ve ever learned.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us, @dryan310
My formula for success:
Find someone who has already achieved what you want to achieve - someone whose results you trust.
Internalize not only their strategies and tactics, but also their beliefs, mindset, and way of thinking.
Learn to see the world through the lens that produced their success.
Be open to ideas and concepts you disagree with; things that seem strange or different.
Then commit to unconditional persistence in the direction of your dream.
Be patient. Give yourself time to develop. Stay the course long enough for the lessons to take root, the skills to compound, and the results to emerge.
Model success. Trust the process. Persist without condition.
Current holdings: $VEEV $SPCX $PANW $CORT $ZBRA
Planning to add on pivot breakouts.
The news out there isn’t great, but some names are setting up nicely. As long as the charts aren’t throwing major red flags, I’ll stick to my process and let the price action guide me.
$SPCX is following through nicely. Taking some risk off here and letting the next action dictate the next move.
Always nice to see recent names starting to work. But as always, protect the downside first. Manage your risk!
$SPCX & $PANW remain; $ZBRA & $ARW added.
$NVDA gapped past my entry, so no chasing.
Friday’s action was solid, with mid- & small-caps showing strength. Despite the bad sentiment, stocks are still breaking out of pivots and following through.
Let’s see what Monday’s action be.
