@SpektreFinTech @mikealfred Dude, with all due respect the Analysts at the major firms, are smart and understand the chip sector as an example. There may be smaller less respect banks that have their analysts do too much, but those calls are not taken that seriously. They can understand bitcoin.
@BenjiNaesen As cycling fans you clearly can be frustrated, that companies need to make money, but by not subscribing you are effectively hurting the salaries of the bike racers.
I think that @RichardPlugge is currently exploring several avenues: 1. merging with Soudal, 2. new title sponsor (Amazon?), or 3. even a complete take over of his current team. Or a combination of 1 and 2.
He’s not in a bad situation, and he shouldn’t be given his team is currently the best in pro cycling.
Having said that though, I think it’s very sad that the most successful team in the world has to even consider a merge with another team to find security for its future. This is clear proof that the economic model of professional cycling is completely wrong. The major share of all the revenue goes to the powerhouses ASO and UCI. Teams and riders are just pawns in their dictatorial game. Until something revolutionary happens, like the LIV golf league, nothing will change and the teams and riders will remain fragile, which is exactly what UCI and ASO want. There have been many projects to change the current model into a pro league, but they all have been sabotaged (sometimes with illegal threats) by either of the power parties, or sometimes by both. (Isn’t that true @DLappartient? I know you’re reading my tweets 😉)
I could write a whole book about this since I’ve been present at so many meetings on this subject. At some point though, it will happen and I know exactly “what” needs to happen for a pro league to be successful. But for the moment, it still remains the game of mainly ASO and sometimes UCI supervising and controlling teams and riders and treating them like school kids, giving them once in a while a little lollipop 🍭 to keep them quiet and happy.
@datarade History shows many of our great growth companies were VC backed, and would not have been possible without the funding. Maybe many of the future great companies can make it without such backing, similar to those of the past generation.
@datarade The FDA is limited by law from regulating many of ingredients in foods. It is on congress to fix the law to protect us but they have declined to do so.
@TobiasFrancis@SpecialSitsNews NVDA is priced based upon future earnings many years out, eliminating 25% of your potential market well effect future potential.... perhaps you should buy the dip.
@lolitataub Lolita - the answers you received might be good for quality teams or novel ideas, many startups don't fit that mode, and setting false expectations helps no one
@MarioNawfal Mario - you guys provide a slanted view, you handpick who comes on stage, you amplify minority viewpoints , you remove people from stage that don't support your viewpoints.
@eminiplayer@zerohedge@patrickbetdavid@Jason@DavidSacks@BillAckman Unfortunately the YouTuber has mischaracterized the situation. There should be frustration with the management and board of SIVB, and thus SIVB investors. Depositors have a reasonable expectation that the regulatory system supervises banks properly especially, small depositors.
