@wesstreeting Has it ever occurred to you both that the reason we are more likely to be referred could be due to racism at the GMC?
That you have both discounted the loyal service many of us have given to the #NHS ?
Both Labour & Tories have plundered other nations to recruit doctors & nurses

Over the last three years, Khalsa Aid USA has been able to deliver 800 Onil stoves and nearly 600 water filters to indigenous Mayan families in the Panajachel area of Guatemala.
In partnership with @fundamaya , and with the generous support of our donors and supporters we’ve been able to positively impact the Mayan people, an impoverished and often overlooked community indigenous to Guatemala.

❗️Female doctors have higher risk of suicide, study finds (https://t.co/nD2JjlPtQJ)
This study shows suicide risk is 76% higher in female doctors than amongst the general population. In the linked editorial, Doctors in Distress calls for more urgent research as to why this persistently high rate of suicide amongst female doctors exists. The higher rate of suicide amongst female doctors is something that is also noted in the research of our Trustee, Dr Ananta Dave in her Churchill Fellowship report on preventing doctors dying by suicide.
Both reports state the necessity of confidential mental health support for healthcare workers, something that Doctors in Distress has been calling for over the past 5 years.
If you are a healthcare worker in need of support, please do come to our weekly support group every Wednesday. Link to register is here: https://t.co/qEAZPntIPk

On the 17th September, we are asking people to come together and take time to reflect. You can do this in whatever way suits you.
