Basij and Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps forces were present at and near schools in Tehran on Monday, videos sent to Iran International showed.

In one video, security forces were filmed handing guns to children who had left school.

"They have brought in children under the age of 10 who have just finished school and are teaching them how to assemble and disassemble a weapon," an onlooker filming the scene said.

"They've put a Kalashnikov in front of the child... they're preparing their minds for killing from an early age. Look how excited the child is — he's not even eight years old."

European Parliament lawmaker Hannah Neumann said she had declined a meeting request from Iran’s ambassador to France, citing the government’s treatment of critics and efforts to target dissidents abroad and spy on European representatives.

“I have received a request for a meeting with the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic to France. I declined it,” Neumann wrote on X. “My door is open to the people of Iran. It is not open to those who represent and execute their repression.”

In her reply to Iran’s embassy, Neumann said the Islamic Republic “does not represent Iran or the Iranian people.”

Secretary of State Marco Rubio says President Trump acted to stop Iran from reaching what he calls a "line of immunity," where Tehran could build up enough missiles, drones and other weapons to make military action against its nuclear program far more difficult.
