@stuffed I recently purchased a Black & Decker toaster oven/air fryer that uses a mechanical/rotary dial timer. No beeps, only clicks. I have to unplug it if the food is done before the timer ends and it just keeps ticking along lol.
@briggityboppity@bill24599549 Just stumbled upon your post and my goodness.... Such hostile responses to a perfectly reasonable question. It also seems that none of them understand houses or air π
@TerryCarlsonII@lorifrank1 I was also dropped off at the pool 5 days a week while my mother worked. I didn't not know any other child in the same situation though, it wasn't common at all. My peers think it was absolutely insane. I was 7 and could barely swim π¬
@gnarp888449@glnott@trashjuicecube In the states we call a bidirectional heat pump, a heat pump. The name "heat pump" has become common for a unit that provides both heat and cooling. We would call a cooling unit an air conditioner and a heating unit a furnace.
@FossilizedCum@glnott@trashjuicecube They average around $12,000 where I live, I guess Americans are just used to the cost and plan for it since it's something that most of us deem as essential.
