@afshineemrani Thanks for this information. Do you still recommend aggressive LDL-C lowering (<55 mg/dl) for secondary prevention independent of these other tests?
@DrMauinforma Any data comparing outcomes with the combo of statin + ezetimibe vs. statin + PCSK9 - if LDL - C at same level? I realize that PCSK9s lower LDL-C more than ezetimibe. Just curious if getting to low LDL-C with different mechanisms yields different outcomes. Thanks
@Mattcoleman1300@DrNeilStone Its been eradicated! It must be because pesticides are so well controlled in our environments nowadays. It probably doesn’t have to do with vaccines. Complete ignorance of reality. Are you a conspiracy theorist? Flat Earth? Chem Trails? Depopulation? Respond however - I’m done.
@Mattcoleman1300@DrNeilStone Not everyone who contracted polio was hanging around orchards and getting sprayed with pesticides. FDR had the virus and it made him sick along with 1000’s of others. You understand that?
@DrAseemMalhotra What are your suggestions - post MI, w/ normal ejection fraction? Let’s assume, non obese, non diabetic, active & mid 50’s male, Mediterranean diet. Looking for helpful modalities to lower risk other than cholesterol lowering since lipids are a lie.
Leave them alone? Thanks
@NutritionMadeS3 Thanks. If small dense particles are more atherogenic and Niacin increases particle size, can we expect some reduction in risk for pts. with metabolic syndrome? Oh yeah, I still don’t think the AIM HIGH & HPS 2 THRIVE data should have taken Niacin out of the mix. CDP data valid?
@Tellit007@Paddy_Barrett@grok Do you know what the cutoff is for “low” ldl-c, that demonstrated harm in these studies? Just curious to know if there is a point of diminishing benefit that becomes harmful.
