This has happened before in NL and will happen to high density meat production too. What amazes me is their general agriculture/food exports per hectare.

@PhoebosBuf @MornixNL @thijsniks @justinedus The problem with Dutch farms (and therefore farmers) is that it’s uneconomic to do low-intensity farming in NL, yet economic to do it elsewhere. Once they have to pay for externalities - like Nitrogen runoff - it’s clearly no longer viable here. But viable elsewhere.

@Samizdat24 @Cobylefko I’m pointing out that architects seem to build little prison boxes for ALL of us and if I want to occupy a new-build apartment with even the tiniest balcony I’m paying 30%-50% more. And many are doing without because they can’t pay. Why are you bad-faith shouting?

@Samizdat24 @Cobylefko Private space for kids to play outside of hermetic a/c, place for a plant or a hibachi bbq, doors that open to an outside world, even if it’s 4sqm. Useful for the less abled (we’re only temporarily abled at best in this life) to enjoy real weather and not be in a cage. Etc etc

@Cobylefko Are there balconies or private outside terraces? A bonus for communal spaces outdoors too. I get quite worked up by architects who prefer clean lines than liveability: our roof terrace saved our mental health during the last couple of years…
