@EkaRobotics has raised a $150M Series A.
Generality v/s Performance is the fundamental tension at the frontier of robotics. Generality without performance is just a prototype. Performance without generality is just a single-purpose tool.
Customers shouldn’t have to choose. Eka breaks the tradeoff. Powered by our Vision-Force-Action (VFA) model, we deliver the performance and versatility customers need to put robots to work every day.
Eka is built on three convictions:
⚡️Force is the language of manipulation.
🚀 Reinforcement learning is how dexterous manipulation scales.
🎂 System 1—fast, reliable physical execution—is the bottleneck to solve.
With this funding, we will scale our model and accelerate customer deployments.
Grateful to be building alongside a dream team and investors who share our ambition.

Robots operating over long horizons need to remember: which drawers they have already opened, why the last grasp failed, or how a particular user likes their kitchen arranged. But what should memory mean for a robot? What should it store, and how can we tell whether it truly helps—or whether we have simply given the model a larger context window?
If you are working on or thinking about these questions, we would love to see your work. Our goal is to map the design space for memory in robot foundation models, and 𝘄𝗲 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗽𝗮𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀, 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗶𝗻 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗲𝘀. There's a really simple recipe behind much of modern AI:
1. Pre-train on massive proxy data
2. Post-train on a small amount of the real thing
Here we apply this recipe to robot hands:
1. Pre-train on lots of sim
2. Post-train on a bit of real
Very simple and works!
New study led by #KempnerInstitute Research Fellow Gizem Özdil (@pgozdil) used the fruit fly #connectome to identify neurons that help coordinate grooming — and experimentally confirmed a key prediction. Out now in @NatureComms ! Read more: https://t.co/WxeE7GXUwE #neuroscience
