Ossoff: Y'all remember they promised to drain the swamp ? Instead, this is the most corrupt administration of all time and everybody knows it.
While Americans are struggling, the first family raking in billions of dollars.
Just listen to this. Last September the president of Kazakhstan calls Donald Trump and says he wants to grant tungsten mining to an American company.
And the very next month, Eric and Don Junior get a stake in the American company pursuing the mining deal .
6 days after Prince Eric and Prince Don get their stake, Kazakhstan announces this company will get the largest known undeveloped tungsten resource in the world
The US government, run by father, sets aside 1.6 billion of your tax dollars to fund and finance their mining project.
All this while you pay more for groceries, gas, and healthcare.
If you're involved in any of this—next year you'll be raising your right hand and swearing to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth so help you God in front of the United States Congress
Ossoff: This is what small men like Donald Trump and JD Vance and Stephen Miller will never understand—that our national greatness flows not through our blood or our genes, but through our ideas.
Americans are not a race, we're a people united not by ethnicity, but by our shared convictions, and that is what makes us exceptional
@AlexanderRodd When you are trying to build a business case for a space station that charges tens-of-thousands of $$$ per hour for astronaut time, you should be worried that your customers will just bypass you,
Some of us tried to warn folks back in 2018 that they should be worried about what happens when a microgravity manufacturing company decides it’s cheaper to buy a ride on Starship than to use human spacecraft or stations.
The pod from god is something we’ve been expecting for a while. I didn’t expect it to be seemingly optimized for pez. Which in theory accelerates the timeline to P2P cargo and in-space manufacturing market development (in theory order). Some big contract will be announced in 2-3 years and everyone will be scrambling to figure out what they missed.
@JeffGreason@deltaIV9250 Yeah, but coasting requires transitioning to and from microgravity more frequently, when they want to tell stories under constant thrust for artificial gravity without spin. :)
@JeffGreason@deltaIV9250 It’s a way of coming up with minimum time trajectories without having to do complex math. I think that’s why writers like them. They can plot stories using a log chart rather than a simulation. I’ve used it as shorthand in games.
OK hear me out: Top Gun CINEMATIC UNIVERSE.
Make spin offs that go beyond the US Navy aviators, get the air force a movie with crossover characters. Go international, like the french 'Les Chevaliers Du Ciel'.
Then assemble the squadrons together for a big crossover movie against.... aliens? The robot uprising? Kaiju?
I had the good fortune to meet Cameron when I was 19 and a NASA intern. He came to our lab to talk about the future of space travel. One of the most creative and brilliant people I’ve ever encountered.
@BlameItOnRyen Yeah, I don’t have that kind of time anymore. I’ve gotten back into No Man’s Sky lately because there is so much to do now that wasn’t there at the beginning and I can put it down and pick it back up whenever I want.
It was the lore, campaign, and matchmaking (like Strikes) that kept me coming back to Destiny 2. I was invested in the universe and there were ways for a gamer dad like me to keep playing. Marathon is beautiful, but it is not as accessible and I don’t see that changing.
The reality is that now, more than ever, people should want Marathon to win. If it can thrive, it can expand in interesting ways, it can give Bungie runway and leeway with Sony for future projects. It's all upside if you want more Bungie games or even more Destiny. Marathon dying from here doesn't help anyone. Though that does not mean I'm going to just cheerlead if things don't turn around
Honored to be sworn in today as @NASA Deputy Administrator. I’m grateful to @POTUS for the opportunity to serve alongside @NASAAdmin and the incredible NASA workforce to strengthen America’s leadership in space and lead the next era of exploration and discovery 🇺🇸
We're building a Moon Base!
@NASAMoonBase will serve as a habitat where astronauts live and work during long-term science missions.
Join us at 2pm ET on Tuesday, May 26, for a live news event where we’ll share updates on our lunar exploration plans: https://t.co/IJXA7xYwju
The next chapter of lunar exploration is taking shape.
Next week, we are announcing our first steps towards surface capabilities and mobility. Preparation for the first Moon Base is well underway.
Intuitive Machines is now the prime contractor for NASA’s LROC and the ShadowCam instrument. We’ll lead imaging ops, data analysis, and mission support, advancing real-time navigation and precision surface operations for future lunar missions. Exploration is empowered by data-driven insights.
