fascinating how the people who were experimenting w deep learning in 2015 have profoundly different reactions to the latest LLMs and image generators than the folks who got started a couple years ago, and again from those who got started this year.
A lot has happened in the last six years — from the first idea for the app in 2017, the first proof-of-concept in 2018 and the beta release in 2019 until today! We learned a lot about building a product from scratch and have kept polishing every piece of it.
When I get emails from @TheNewSchool's Exec. VP for Business & Operations announcing no pay or healthcare for striking adjuncts, I think about his ~$500,000 salary, while I'm fighting with @UAW7902 to get ~$7,500 to teach a class. #NewSchoolStrike
