How will the flower bloom in 2100?
We collaborated with artist Annelie Berner to create a generative web tool that visualizes how the Circaea Alpina flower might evolve in response to future climate conditions.
I've finally put together a v1 of full case study including info about data, algorithms, behind the scenes and whole look dev process. Video content to follow!

@cinamarina Do a google search for transparent anything and you will find out that 90% websites show checkerboard pattern and ask you to login or buy to download proper transparent image. So yeah the training data.
@kiaran_ritchie How does one deliver 12GB of content without delivering 12GB of content? From my understanding engine is below 5% of AAA game size these days.
@hybridherbst@googledrive From company whose submit button in Google Search AI mode sticks out of screen in mobile Safari... I guess that's what you get if you ship agentic code to production.
I embedded an agent + API into my procedural modeller.
This was a 'log cabin' it made.
I'm honestly impressed - not a bad first attempt.

@superligious@SimonHarrisCo I almost cheered for Copperfield sounding very rusty 🦀 but then i realised copper does not rust because it's not iron. 🤔 Still a cool name.
Lots of shared feelings and struggles here!

"I’m not a fan of the current state of social media. They expect you to post every day, show your process, talk to the camera, engage with everyone. The stuff you create doesn’t even matter. I don’t want to post stuff with my face talking nonsense about my art just because algorithms like it."

My first major dataviz project and one of the reasons why I'm UK.
Still doing dataviz these days but those where the prime years, and so much energy about what's possible.
Living surface. One of my favourite things i've ever made. Completely procedural with initial modelling together with @SimonHarrisCo in Houdini but then brought to life and simulated in WebGL. [2020]
