And 10 years later I'm sad to say this store is closing down in September 😔 @soult It's a 'landlord decision' I.e. Victoria Centre wants it gone which is quite a loss. It's at the end of the centre where M&S is allegedly moving to.
@BritishGasHelp my father in law died back in March and despite lots of phone calls made by mother in law, including to the bereavement team, the account is still in my father in law's name. What can my mother in law do about it?
A first for me - ghost signs for Boots @soult, here's Colwyn Bay where it closed down in 2024. The centre is struggling (even WHS has gone) and feels soulless which is opposite to when I first went in 95. The seafront is great and nearby Rhôs is bustling with independent shops
@johnlewishelp if you’re closing your bureau de change will you be reducing your minimum amount online? I never get £250 worth of currency but always get about £100 from you in store as you always have the best rates.
@hwallop@marksandspencer I’m out of tune with this year’s food fads as I don’t like pistachio and I don’t like matcha 😆 so pleased last years Strawberry Sandwich is back as that was yummy!
Is there a design flaw with @Tesco self service machines. I very often double scan - i.e. I pay for my basket and then as I pack my bag I end up scanning an item as I pack it! The staff get a bit fed up 😂
@AdamNostalgia@russty_russ@woodg31 Now don’t tell anyone but I no longer pay for the Radio Times. I have the libby app from the local library so I read it for free! I have started saving for the Christmas issue as I have to have a physical copy of that one!
@archivetvmus71 This is an amazing clip - I worked on the successor to this machine (DS1361) from 1997. Have to say they weren’t great to use, for example if someone had fines to pay, if you didn’t press the Fine button to acknowledge, the fines were lost!
@dresserman Morrisons also needs to look at it's store estate - some stores are really well looked after whereas others are just a grubby, dishevelled disaster and that's just my experience within Greater Nottingham!
Now this hasn't happened for a while @aussievisionnet- a non-UK Eurovision entry playlisted on BBC Radio 2! Delta Goodrem is on the B list and has just been played now!
I don’t buy so-called fresh bread from our local Sainsbury’s anymore since it’s invariably quite dry or even stale! It’s a shame really as their bakeries used to be really good
@EmiratesSupport Hi. Need some advice, flying from the UK on Emirates changing at Dubai on April 4th. This is four days after the free refund window but I can't see the UK changing the Do Not Travel advice by then. What's the advice? Thanks
@Expl_Cookie It’s getting like this on Facebook. I follow various memory groups which started off ok but now just showing AI videos of high streets in the 70s with a very obvious agenda.
The In Memoriam slot had a lot of names, interesting to see Bo Michael Tretow who was the "5th member of Abba" and a nice mention of Colin Berry too! #brits
@dresserman And items that used to be cheaper at B&M now seemingly more expensive like chocolate - I know it is expensive everywhere but the prices are definitely higher at B&M
