Today, 36 years ago, Tuesday, 22nd June, 1987 at 10.00 am, I stopped taking alcohol and smoking. God rebranded me into a new being and recreated my productivity. Friends, particularly the youth, you can do the same and much better.
January 2019.
I was building my very first chicken house on my dad's land (I couldn't afford land!).
Looking back now, I can't believe how quick I've moved.
The main thing? Be an action person, a doer... not just talk!

The beginnings of @ModernLivingEA
Hadijja was sitting behind the bar at Embers on 7th Street. She was the manager. The hours had become crazy as the place transformed over the years into an after-hours. Folks would show up at 3 am and start ordering bottles. As the manager, she would have to be the first there and the last to go.
We had just moved in together. It was one of those Tuesdays where staff outnumbered clients. "Alex, I can't do this job anymore." "Ok, what do you want to do?" "My major was fabrication at the Art School in Makerere. I'd love to find a way to practice what I studied. You remember how hard it was to furnish our home?" "Yes?"
"What if we started making furniture? I know the perfect guy to do it with us, but I don't know..."
"Why don't you start by making one piece? Just one. Then, let's try to sell it. If it doesn't sell, we'll have a nice piece of furniture for our home. If it does, maybe you'll have a business." Hadijja had a lightbulb moment.
The next day, she called Tamale, who later became our business partner. Tamale was already practising carpentry but was thinking of giving up. Within a week, the first piece was out. With hindsight, it looked average at best, but it was a start. The revised version (after multiple iterations) is the round shelf below. Now what?
"Just put it on your Whatsapp and see what happens." Within 2 hours, we had around 20 inquiries and a few orders.
One guy called Hadijja and was like: "I am in Muyenga, where is your showroom?". It was like 7 PM. There was no showroom so, he came home, saw the piece and placed an order...
The first piece became a collection, and the side-hustle became a business.
@ModernLivingEA celebrated its 5-year anniversary in March.
Western Media would rather show you a garden of corn in Ukraine than cover the deadly protests in France & Israel. That's how they captured you. They've programmed you to believe that bad things happen only in Africa, China, Russia NOT Europe. Continue being a slave of the West.

Last year I decided to try out the piggery space, I must say it is one of the riskiest but probably the most profitable agricultural business. Your farm can grow over 20 times within a year depending on your breeds and practices. #youthinagriculture
