Hey Mike, you’re twisting the story. There’s nothing in Schumer’s CR that grants “free healthcare” to undocumented immigrants — quite the opposite.

Here are the cold, brutal facts:
• The reconciliation law (Public Law 119-21, passed July 2025) includes Sec. 71109 — Alien Medicaid eligibility — making clear that noncitizens without lawful status are excluded from Medicaid, beginning October 1, 2026.
• That means the CR isn’t removing “protections” — it’s codifying them. There is no new right to taxpayer-funded benefits for undocumented people.
• Under current federal law (and practice), undocumented immigrants only have access to emergency Medicaid: hospitals are reimbursed for stabilizing emergency care even if a person’s immigration status disqualifies them from full coverage.
• Regular Medicaid, ACA subsidies, CHIP, etc., remain off limits for undocumented immigrants by design. Johnson’s claim pretends the reverse is true.

So @SpeakerJohnson, you say the CR “allows free healthcare” — it doesn’t. You’re trying to invert the truth and scare people. Stop lying to the public.
