D’Leedon, is a landmark condominium designed by the renowned Zaha Hadid Architects (ZHA), their first residential project in Singapore. The architectural design, led by Zaha Hadid and Patrik Schumacher, is distinguished by its fluid, organic forms and innovative spatial concepts, embodying Hadid’s signature style of parametricism and her exploration of "architectural language of fluidity." The towers taper inward at lower levels, "kinking" at the base to reduce their footprint, which enhances open space and creates private sunken gardens at ground level. This approach minimizes the visual and spatial impact on the surrounding low-rise neighborhood while maximizing greenery.
Elon Musk, Scott Adams personally wanted you in his biography, and you're the one person we still can't reach.
Joel Pollak is writing it and needs to interview you. Please reach out to @joelpollak, it would be greatly appreciated.
The deadline is approaching fast. If you can amplify or get this to @elonmusk, please RT, we really need your help.
Inverted morality works by normalizing the immoral and the insane until refusing it looks extreme.
Once institutions treat men as women, children as sexual beings, and repeat criminals as victims deserving leniency, anyone still anchored to biological and social reality becomes the outlier.
But the truth is you are not extreme. They are.
Somebody has to be the richest person on the planet.
The fact that it’s the guy who popularized electric cars, made rockets reusable, and is working on curing blindness and paraplegia as a side quest seems fair to me.
Giving 400 of the most talented builders in the world $100M to do whatever they want with, could be the greatest pro-social downstream consequence of this IPO.
SpaceX is an insane talent foundry, and $100M is plenty of money to get pretty much any start-up off the ground
2. Use heat pumps (vapor-compression cycles) to run the radiators significantly hotter than the chip loop.
Because radiated power scales with T⁴, lifting radiator temperature by 30-60 K can deliver substantially more heat rejection per square meter — potentially much smaller and lighter deployable radiators.
Tesla’s vehicle heat pumps show how capable and efficient these systems can be. In orbit, abundant solar power makes the compressor energy penalty more tolerable than on Earth.
Challenges here: added mass and complexity of the heat pump hardware, compressor reliability in vacuum/radiation over years with no maintenance, microgravity fluid management, and ensuring the overall COP makes the radiator mass savings worthwhile.
Combined, these approaches could make modular orbital compute nodes far more mass-efficient. Starcloud and others are already moving beyond pure passive cooling toward active liquid loops — heat pumps and higher-temp silicon feel like natural next steps. 3/3
USA. A Mexican restaurant. We had not yet ordered anything, and the food was already arriving.
Chips. Salsa. Unrequested. Free.
I stopped the waiter. "We have not earned these."
"They just come with the table, man."
They come with the TABLE. In my land, hospitality is a debt. Every gift creates an obligation, weighed carefully, returned in the proper season with interest of feeling. Here, the gift arrives before you have even proven you can pay for dinner.
This is not an appetizer. This is a declaration: we trust you. Eat.
I ate with the gravity the moment deserved. And then — I must report this calmly — the basket emptied, and a new one appeared.
"Did we…?"
"Refill," the waiter said. "It's bottomless."
Bottomless. They have wells of salsa. The supply lines of this nation are beyond anything my ancestors imagined.
My friend warned me. "Don't fill up on chips, dude."
Too late. I had accepted three baskets. Honor demanded each one be finished — an unfinished gift is an insult. By the time my actual food arrived, I was a ruined man.
I was not hungry. I was not comfortable. I had been defeated by a courtesy.
Generosity that arrives before the request cannot be repaid. It can only be survived.
I know the rule now. I have made my peace with the basket. One basket. Two at the most.
Who am I deceiving. There is no number of baskets I would refuse. The trust of a nation is in that salsa, and I intend to honor all of it.
