I have been doing research on #pharmaceuticals in the environment for over a decade now. This summer at @IISD_ELA we are taking it to the next (ecological) level. Let me tell you why below.
The rise of #COVID19 brought a rise in antidepressant prescriptions. How is this affecting our fresh #water? And what are researchers at @IISD_ELA planning to do about it? Our expert explains it all in 60 seconds.

@SETAC_PNC There seems to be an outdated event image with an incorrect time zone loading in some platforms. This will slowly update and in the next few hours, but just in case. The event is at 11 am Mountain time (noon Central, 1pm EDT, etc). Sorry for any confusion!
Join us on April 16th for the first instalment of our new **SETAC PNC Seminar Series**

@pie6k I think you’d enjoy following @color_nerd. That’s where I first heard of the Munsell color system, which I believe this is based on. It took a century… but I’m glad it has made it to tech!
🌊 Celebrating #science in action! For 10 years, the International Institute for Sustainable Development has managed the world’s #freshwater laboratory, helping us understand and protect #lakes and #rivers.
We are proud to support their important research work.

@axiomsofxyz There is at least one (but I believe I have seen it in others) that make use of ASReml and require a license for it. For example: https://t.co/fqN5Iu9oRA
Thank you @FrontBioeng for promoting our latests @IISD_ELA paper coming out of our Oil Spill Research Program. Kuddos to Madeline Stanley and the rest of the team for the hard work

I have written a Letter to the Editor in ET&C. My message is simple: let's consider submitting our best manuscripts to journals owned by societies we care about. It is essentially a reflection of my appreciation (or love) for SETAC. Hope you like it

🎉 Congratulations to Dr. Shelley Arnott, Professor at @queensu, on receiving the 2025 Rigler Award!
@ShelleyArnott studies aquatic ecology, focusing on how plankton communities respond to environmental change. Read the announcement here: https://t.co/zOSOem7Oel

Another ANOVA/model tip in #R, be careful with using numbers to describe grouping factors (e.g., labeling sites as 1, 2, 3). If R sees numeric/integer data, it will treat it as a continuous covariate (ANCOVA), even if what you wanted was a comparison of groups. 🧵
Great piece (in french!) by @icirctele on current work on the effects of microplastics in the environment, which includes some @IISD_ELA research, including our work with the @LabNielsen on 6PPD-quinone. Thank you @myhebert21 for the visit!

For all my frech-speaking friends that might have been wondering what it is that we do out here at the @IISD_ELA, here is a wonderful summary by @icirctele!
