Makes sense. He needs someone to use the site.
With that, I'm turning off my mastodon-to-twitter bot and will only be using this account to talk about Elon, Twitter, and alternatives. The number of people on Mastodon has been exploding. Hope to see you there!
@_mattburdette_ I think there's a pretty good argument that if it's okay for a person to be inspired by looking at publicly displayed art and then create new art in that style, then it should be okay to do that using a computer too.
@_mattburdette_ If that model, trained using only new commissioned artwork, produces the same results then is it ethical? We generally consider an artist creating new art in an existing style to be ethical, and it's definitely legal.
@BriannaWu I think it was when he interfered with the rescue of 12 kids a thai cave, got called on it being a PR stunt, and then proceeded to call the cave diver who DID rescue them a pedophile. That made it pretty clear that he's just a grifter, and a mean one at that.
Unbelievable. If you have to resort to stuff like this, your platform is already dead. I'm @[email protected]. If my account is suspended for posting this, so be it.
@_mattburdette_ For me it's exciting in the way computer graphics excited me in the 90s... nascent, fledging, but clearly revolutionary. It's a blend of technology and art that allows a nerd like me, good with keyboard but bad with pencil, to have a role in creating something with emotion.
@_mattburdette_ Are there a lot of people pretending they're Michelangelos? I'm genuinely asking because I see a lot of people creating images, but I haven't seen people pretending it's something that it's not.
