REFORM WILL PUT WELSH WORKERS FIRST IN SOCIAL HOUSING

Reform UK Wales has backed new plans to overhaul the social housing system, putting hardworking Welsh families and young people at the front of the queue and ensuring social housing is targeted at those who have built their lives and communities in Wales.

Reform Wales’ FOI work across Wales raises an issue regarding who is being prioritised for social housing. In Cardiff, non-UK nationals accounting for 22.1% of those on the waiting list where nationality was recorded, and over 30% of recorded lead tenants for social housing lettings. However, in a shocking 77% of cases, nationality data is not recorded. Newport Council also reported that more than 1 in 4 of their temporary accommodation is occupied by foreign nationals.

These figures underline why we need greater transparency and a system that puts British citizens who have built their lives here first.

Additionally, Plaid’s Minister for Local Government has said that “Social housing should be a universal resource that anyone can apply for”. And she has actively pushed back against a legal measure which could have given councils more control to put local people first for housing.

Britain’s housing system is broken, and too many young Welsh men and women who work hard and contribute to their communities are struggling to afford a home of their own.

Commenting Reform Wales’ Shadow Cabinet Minister for Local Government, Housing and Planning, Francesca O’Brien MS said:

“Reform believes Welsh men and women who have lived and contributed to our communities for years should be given priority when it comes to accessing social housing.

“If Plaid claim to be the party of Wales, then social housing should be prioritised for the people of Wales, not foreign nationals.

“Reform will continue to put British people first and demand answers about who is accessing taxpayer-funded housing while many British nationals struggle to secure social housing. Britain’s housing market is broken. Housing needs Reform.”

Was it merely coincidence?

In May 2021, Dominic Cummings told Parliament that those responsible for the vaccine programme had been told:

“Ignore rules.”

And then:

7 months later, solicitors Philip Hyland and Lois Bayliss, both of impeccable professional record, we're 2 of a total of 4 complainants in reporting Covid-related allegations to the Metropolitan Police under CRN 6029679/21.

Both subsequently, only weeks after the report was submitted to the police, faced regulatory action by the Solicitors Regulation Authority concerning Covid-related matters.

So here is the simple question:

Was what subsequently happened to these two lawyers nothing more than the coincidental fulfilment of a remarkably specific prophecy relayed to Parliament 9 months earlier?

Or was there something deeper to it?

Coincidence is one possible explanation.

But when the words spoken beforehand describe what subsequently appears to happen, more or less, to the letter, surely the proper response is not simply to assume coincidence - It is to investigate whether there was, in fact, a connection.

"No citizen is above the law". A citizen is a legal entity, a company is a legal entity. @swpolice are a legal entity who are corporate enforcers who place companies and their employees above the law in my case.
When I contact the police, I do so as a man not a citizen.
