Yesterday, we had the pleasure of hosting @akashnet along with guests from @Filecoin, @Solana, and @plaintext_cap for the finale of the DePIN NYC Series. It was thrilling to see so many brilliant minds gather for the DEPIN panel. What a fantastic evening!
decentralized AI not only MUST be the future (for the sake of society) but SHOULD be as well (because a broader and freer market will make AI better for everyone)
I'm excited to share our podcast with @AlirezaGhods2
about mapping the world with @NATIXNetwork.
A few things stood out to me.
- Natix is building a full product suite for drivers, serving as the Trojan for long-term lock-in. Come for the mapping rewards, and stay for the app experience.
- Smartphones allow Natix to preprocess the images at the edge before streaming to the cloud, drastically reducing cost and enabling more dynamic data capture. - Natix already has over 100,000 users and 70 million km of road mapped.
- Natix is a pain killer, not a vitamin. The data Natix collects can't be collected through centralized entities, which gives it a clear edge in generating revenue.

This was a great podcast showcasing Data Curation Network @NATIXNetwork .
Natix's solution collects, analyzes, and (eventually) monetizes dynamic map data. Crucially, it has substantially improved upon critical problems with raw data collection by focusing on enhancing bandwidth, latency, and privacy.
thoughts ive had lately... full article on the @plaintext_cap blog... DePINs have proven the efficacy of crypto in building the supply side of digital commodities. The AI craze has turned data into digital gold (or maybe spice @gregosuri ?), and DePINs can capitalize on this.
Will this be a BTC-dominant cycle? I doubt it. The same arguments happened last cycle when BTC outperformed. Remember, the week of December 14, 2020, when BTC broke ATHs, ETH was still trading 60% below ATHs ($600). SOL was trading at $1.50. We all know what happened next.
Excited to share our podcast with @KeithSingery, Bittensor Guru. Keith brought the energy for this one. He provided amazing insight into how Bittensor has changed over the years and what still needs to be improved. Very well-rounded perspective.

I could do a pod with @plaintext_cap everyday. Just awesome. Lots of thoughtful questions from these dudes about Bittensor got me firing on all cylinders this morning! Excited for this one to come out. $TAO
We just published a piece on how @opentensor is pushing the future of decentralized AI. It's important that the foundation of AI is built on an open protocol. https://t.co/sVLNyCPwjF
It's important to note that these shares aren't rigid. https://t.co/s2Au9dQtFM keys aren't limited to a chat group. They are a creator<>fan connection that can be extended in any number of ways.
https://t.co/s2Au9dQtFM keys are proof that shares of artists can work as a primitive. We wrote about this idea last year after seeing @CorpPlaz lay out an org structure for the music they published on @ninaprotocol.
https://t.co/O6vt7PQuV2
The interest in keys is proof that different share classes can work for artists. There are the goods they create and sell like music, merch, tickets, etc... And there can be an "investor class" that might provide closer access to the artist, a potential rev share of music, etc.
