After ~3 years I made the decision (a while ago) to cease development of @journeyio — despite having a modestly good NPS (~65) and modest monthly growth (~10% MoM) since launch, I didn't feel our DAU/MAU was healthy enough to fundraise further.
@andrewchen the power of GTA IS the budget — their immersion and detail is off the charts! it's the same as a game from Hideo Kojima, you play it and you're like: wow. this was a huge endeavour. (just gimme sim city where the populace are all legitimately AI driven...)
I'd also like to thank my dear co-founders @bweitz1 and @anilsevim who are complete savages and I know will crush both future jobs and build companies of consequence in the future.
Similarly all the incredibly talented folks that worked on Journey — thank you and i'm sorry!!!
Journey will live on as we were able to soft land the product with some thoughtful folks but were unfortunately unable to return meaningful cash to investors — I'd like to thank all our investors for *everything*, in particular our lead @chadbyers at @SusaVentures
