@Glenn_SoilAgro@Pendalup_ag@andrewdunx@phil_honey I believe the guys we got in to do it flew at 80-100m and could get something like 150 data points per square meter. Then processed in QGIS or Terra to remove the vegetation layer and get ground level
@Glenn_SoilAgro@Pendalup_ag@andrewdunx@phil_honey Got a drone in to lidar map elevation for tile drainage planning Worked well from what I can tell so far, biggest challenge has been importing the data into SMS Agleader in the most detail resolution the program handle (so far 2m data points) Other programs may be better at that

@nig_michael@phil_honey@kelly_gorter@pearse_kyle@COGGO_WA 3/3 Harvest grain contamination lead to speed tiller having highest counts, stubble crunching was close to nil control and chaining the lowest. Only a difference between treatments of about 1/ half litre from memory. @phil_honey may have final figures
@nig_michael@phil_honey@kelly_gorter@pearse_kyle@COGGO_WA 2/3 Before and after counts had stubble crunching and cabling at double the populations. Assumptions of moving stubble exposed more snails to count and speed tilling hid them. Difference in nil control likely to snails moving around aswell.
@nig_michael@phil_honey@kelly_gorter@pearse_kyle@COGGO_WA 1/3 It was a bit hard to draw any real conclusions from that trial due to the huge spatial variability in snail populations. Before and after treatment counts had speed tiller populations down 58% about the same difference as the nil control.

@JC6450@vrtsolutions@ipaddockapps How have you found the yield comparisons between Denison and Sceptre with Denison sown earlier to match the same flowering period?
Query; what knife guards are people running on Case varios especially harvesting canola. We have one and used it with standards, but just bought another vario with primary sales double cut. Are they suitable or change OR cut every second “finger/guard” off?
WTB ( or see what’s available)VARIO front. Ideally 40 feet to suit a case flagship but interested anything red or yellow. Welcome to retweet. Pm me or reply. Cheers iain.
Bit of a long shot but is there any farmer in WA that would be willing to part with their John Deere Application Controller 1100 for a week? Borrow or hire.

Anybody successfully put an adjustable baffle in an air cart system to divert air when needed. I want to put an extra box on for slug/ cracked wheat air spreading when seeding canola.
Anybody know of a good grain/fertiliser portable conveyor or tubulator design I can “copy” for our own use? Looking to shift fertiliser from a truck into spreaders quickly without using an auger which has its limitations. Even better if there’s one to see or buy south coast WA?
Query. Anybody running a protrakker successfully on a tow between ( Bourgault leader bin and DBS behind). We run the John Deere tractor on the 2630 guidance so can we run the protrakker on The Gen 4 screen ? Do we need to put a receiver on the bar ?
Trackattack doing a good job although 710s have pushed mud further than the 3 discs in places. What are other people’s experiences on this model, the 4 disc and other brands
Query; anybody know where to source a fan for the “blue cleaners” that Geraldton plumbing used to make? Mines ok but nice to know if something “hits the fan”
