Chaucer introduced the word ‘new-fangled’ (@TheRestHistory and @holland_tom). It then makes way into the 1552 Book of Common Prayer. You don’t want to be ‘addicted to old customs’ or ‘be so new fangled.’ Language! One more reason to do an Episode on the 1662 BCP. @dcsandbrook
