We continue our work championing for legal governance to ensure safety of children and young people in dance. We are independent, made up of parents and professionals with no affiliations to any current dance bodies. We won’t stop until we have regulation and accountability.

This is the result of zero accountability. Over a hundred gymnasts. Over 60 came forward to report at just one ballet school! Imagine the scale of this in dancing. Guidelines for safeguarding don’t work. Legal consequences do. @educationgovuk @itvnews @GympalGB #law4dance

Let’s get this clear: we need a change in law, and/or we need a change in regulated roles. Coaches/dance teachers should be held accountable but we need the tools to do this. Not policies, but enforceable legislation. When this happens we can provide child protection. 1/

Did you know unqualified/suspended/expelled teachers of RAD/other dance memberships can still teach their syllabus just not enter candidates for exams. To circumvent they use other teachers for exam entry. How safe is your dance teacher really? @RADheadquarters @CYPCS #law4dance
