🟧The one with @LyudaKozlovska was the first block interview I recorded from the newly inaugurated @LuganoPlanB Expo Room.
You can see the podcast part only, but there's also a @mempool library, a hardware wall and more cool stuff (shop, infopoint...)🤖
Thanks @sbaaaam21 for creating and running the space and hosting my blocks from there 🙏

🎥 I've had the honor of watching "Hummingbird: The Bitcoin Jungle Story" doco, before most people. I loved it.
When people experience hardship but choose to build out of their breakdowns, rather than hate or fight, it resonates. When they do it simply, humbly, connected to nature, it amplifies that resonance.
I've been planning my visit to Costa Rica for a while. After watching the film, I can't wait for that experience.
📅 The film premiers tomorrow at 12pm EST on @SimplyBitcoin. It is directed by @DirectorHodl & produced by @thepaulosophy.
🎥 The doco explores the origins of an organic farmer’s market in Uvita, Costa Rica, weaving together themes of trust, spirituality, and an ancient myth known as the prophecy of the eagle and the condor. By diving into the profound impact of colonialism in Central America, the film examines how institutions like the IMF and World Bank have shaped the region over time, illuminating how Bitcoin has arisen within the community as a natural response to a systemic problem. @BitcoinJungleCR@Ecoferiacr

“Like we either live in a world with freedom or we don’t, and like many Americans who have come before, I’m willing to give my life to fighting for it. That’s the real plan America deserves, not some totalitarian dystopia where you think you know what’s good for me better than I do. A nation of free men, not a bunch of pussies who are so worried about what their grown up neighbors might do.”
More of this energy hell yes @realGeorgeHotz
I agree with the sentiment here, but I would add:
- decentralized experiments, while still messy, are more interesting long-term, since govs will soon ban or submit Signal and similar companies,
- with OS-level backdoors, which is what govs are ultimately going for, app-level encryption doesn't help much, so we have to keep focus there as well,
- we also have to seriously consider how to mitigate hw-level backdoors,
- if most of your contacts are backdoored, you should be careful even when you aren't.
But yeah.
Nine years ago today, a kid with a $9 legal pad pulled off the best guerrilla marketing stunt in Bitcoin history.
July 12, 2017. Janet Yellen, Chair of the Federal Reserve, testifies before the House Financial Services Committee. Her semiannual monetary policy update. Dry, procedural, the kind of hearing finance desks sit through out of duty.
A few rows behind her sits Christian Langalis, a young intern. Halfway through he raises a yellow legal pad into the cameras. Two words in fine-point pen: "Buy Bitcoin."
Guards escorted him out for breaking committee rules. Millions saw the clip anyway. That sign floating behind the most powerful central banker on earth spread across the internet within the hour.
A friend posted a donation address. Within four hours, strangers sent him nearly $10k in BTC. He ended up with more than 7 coins.
In 2024 the original notepad sold at auction for 16 BTC. Over a million dollars for a pen stroke.
If you're new here, that's the lesson. One person with no budget and no permission walked into the establishment's own building and planted an idea on live TV. No marketing team sold you Bitcoin. People spread it because they believed in it enough to risk looking ridiculous.
A kid with a pen did more for adoption that day than any campaign since.
No notifications. No interruptions. Just pure focus. 📚
At the Plan ₿ Expo, @dusan_matuska shared why physical books are still unmatched for mastering complex ideas like Bitcoin.
To support the community, he just donated his book, "Bitcoin Mining Decoded" (co-authored with Sunil), to the mempool.library! It simplifies the complexities of mining through great storytelling.
Check out the clip to see them literally "mine the block" with the book! ⛏️👇

🇪🇺 The EU is now for the 6th time trying to force Chat Control through which lets them scan ALL your private messages, photos and emails without a warrant
Implictly showing the EU is not democratic and not about what the people of Europe want, because once a law is rejected, you just re-submit it until nobody is watching and it's passed
November 2023: ❌ Chat Control is rejected
June 2024: ❌ Chat Control is rejected
October 2025: ❌ Chat Control is rejected
November 2025: ❌ Chat Control is rejected
March 2026: ❌ Chat Control is rejected
July 2026: 📝 Chat Control is back
Even the EU's own lawyers stated Chat Control is unconstitutional: "generalised message scanning is incompatible with Article 7 of the EU Charter"
You have to wonder why the EU is so adament about reading your private chats, right?
I'm back on @TFTC21!
Great chat with @MartyBent about BULL's legal challenge of EU mass surveillance, Bitcoin privacy in general, and fighting back against the gobalist attacks on sovereign individuals.
Perché dovrebbe interessare chi vive in Italia?
BULL is challenging in court the EU's dangerous mass surveillance program for crypto users, DAC8.
I cannot stand by and do nothing while faceless globalist bureaucrats put the security and privacy of millions of Europeans at risk.
We will get DAC8 repealed.

Laser pointers in the 1 milliwatt and above range should NEVER be pointed at Flock cameras because of the damage they can do.
Many people buy these inexpensive, easily available lasers from ebay and other places without knowing the damage they can do.
