For those of you following my 'swimming pool' case - where man got naked in-front of me. Yes. that case 🙄 I have an update.

As you may know the legal process of exposure cases means that these “cases” are often unable to be escalated to a 'caution', due to the archaic procedures around the admin/tick boxes; currently the law says there has to be 'beyond reasonable doubt' that this person getting naked infront of me intended to 'offend'', for the legal system to move to a next step of a “caution” -> yeah, I still roll my eyes, I was hugely offended! BUT, unless it is on paper, it doesn't seem to matter!

Anyway, I think there is a silver lining, in that the management of this pool have NOW got full safe-guarding in place this year with their procedures, staff training and zero tolerance policies' to ensure this never happens again, and should it happen, regardless of the police and sodding paperwork, it would now mean this person exposing would be instantly expelled. I take that as a win.

Unbelievable it has to be this way, and that I have had to push to make sure more happened, but I do see it as a step forward in taking this conversation into the 21st century and I hold on to this, that change, even small ones, are significant leaps!

These small wins are needed to ensure any difficulties on the laws around indecent exposure are acted on swiftly when the authorities/ legal route can’t.

I hope more people/businesses/ clubs take notice to ensure no rock is left unturned when safeguarding.

Shamefully @UKParliament ignored my petition to get the law changed on this. Although in the end, this small win was much bigger in many ways in that it side stepped an old fashioned process/ law to take a very serious conversation, seriously.

I will sleep a little bit better now.
