“Don’t. It’s a strike. Strike. You lose. We lose. Everybody loses. That’s tough shit.”

One of the most beautiful and thoughtful pieces I've read about the trans panic -- and how it impacts the lives of trans people. @letsgomathias is probably the best extremism reporter in America I think. Just read this. https://t.co/iC91RyPPKR
PSA: The WGA strike may mean that novelists & authors get approached for screenwriting. While this may seem like a perfect opportunity, please note that the WGA does strongly enforces its right to prevent non-members who have engaged in scabbing from ever becoming members.
The writer's strike is an example of how corporations believe giving concessions to labor is the worst thing they can do.
Worse than losing money, worse than losing public trust/goodwill, bc the FIRST priority of a corporation is to pay workers as little as they possibly can.
Find it telling her interactions with the media thus far on this issue led her to believe she could make wildly false claims without being asked to provide any evidence for them. Anti-trans talking points are so paper thin because they're used to being coddled by reporters.
look no one likes complaining about democrats more than me, but the bill is good and passing it is a massive victory and if you care about climate change you should celebrate
The Last Jedi worked because Rian understood that Star Wars isn’t about padding Unglo Bongo’s wikipedia page, it’s about a man pouring out his feelings to a puppet after they both commit arson
Some wild mental gymnastics in this paragraph. Pity the repairman fixing big appliances in Cambridge… but she omits the fact that loading/delivery needs, day permits, and disability access are literally baked into city policy!
She can’t say these services are ACTUALLY banned. But the structure of the paragraph implies that bulky item deliveries can’t happen (they can), that visitors won’t be able to reach you (they can, just via public transport, biking, walking….). There’s just no sound argument here

My latest in @Forbes: The war against the private car in Europe is alive and well, and Americans should take note as the fight crosses the Atlantic. https://t.co/IiOHh5i2iA @GWUEconomics
