@ThereArePortals @GrantSlatton I agree there are very hardworking kids in school here but number may be small. BTW, I put 4 kids through public schools here in US and 2 have engineering degrees from VT and Georgia respectively and the younger 2 are in their way to get STEM degrees as well.

@GrantSlatton @ThereArePortals It comes down to motivation. Many Indian people are not happy with infra, quality of life & want to achieve this dream of living in USA. They do whatever it takes. Many US born engineers lack motivation and grit. US public schools don’t help them either.

@GrantSlatton 1/2 The conspiracy is true to an extent. It is not the company but the hiring manager along with Hr recruiter decide which candidate to interview. Of course, the incumbent for whom the LCA was filed with DOL has most likely been with the company for a couple of years.

@GrantSlatton 2/2 now they both have to hand select candidates to prove that they are not better than the incumbent. Guess what they will do? This is where the abuse happens in many companies for variety of companies. Some companies have managers who genuinely want better for the incumbent.
