The United Forum Of We Bankers fully agrees with the points raised by content creator and ex-banker Swarnakshi Jha ji (Instagram ID: @lifeasithink_).

We strongly condemn the blatant hypocrisy of the banking administration and the government. We rightfully demanded #5DaysBanking, a fundamental necessity pending a clear decision since March 2024. Instead of honoring this basic workplace right, authorities are now ordering bankers to work on Sundays to mask the impact of our legitimate three-day strike.

The irony is glaring: officials who comfortably enjoy their own Saturday and Sunday weekends are issuing circulars forcing branch staff to work. To minimize the strike's impact, management is actively targeting the most vulnerable Probationary Officers. They are threatening POs with career repercussions, delayed confirmations, and denied leaves to force them into handling teller operations, ATM cash refills, and half-yearly closing tasks over the weekend.

Bankers are the backbone of this economy. We are not asking for 30-story corporate buildings, centralized ACs, or luxury cafeterias; we are demanding a basic work-life balance. If the system completely panics over a few days of absence, it only proves our essential value to the nation. We urge all bankers to stand lawfully and united. If we succumb to this pressure today, this exploitation will become the standard policy of tomorrow.

यूनाइटेड फोरम ऑफ वी बैंकर्स (United Forum Of We Bankers) कंटेंट क्रिएटर और पूर्व बैंकर स्वर्णाक्षी झा जी (Instagram ID: @lifeasithink_) द्वारा उठाए गए सभी बिंदुओं से पूरी तरह सहमत है। हम सरकार और बैंक प्रबंधन के इस दोगले रवैये की कड़ी निंदा करते हैं। हमने अपने जायज हक़ #5DaysBanking की मांग की थी, जिस पर मार्च 2024 से कोई स्पष्ट फैसला नहीं लिया गया है। लेकिन इसे लागू करने के बजाय, तीन दिन की जायज हड़ताल के प्रभाव को छिपाने के लिए अब बैंकर्स को रविवार को भी काम पर बुलाया जा रहा है।

सबसे बड़ी विडंबना यह है कि जो अधिकारी खुद शनिवार और रविवार की छुट्टी का आनंद लेते हैं, वही आज हमारे लिए वीकेंड पर काम करने के सर्कुलर निकाल रहे हैं। हड़ताल को कमजोर करने के लिए प्रोबेशनरी ऑफिसर्स (POs) को सॉफ्ट टारगेट बनाया जा रहा है। उन्हें नौकरी पक्की न होने, भविष्य में छुट्टियां रद्द करने और सर्विस रिकॉर्ड खराब करने का डर दिखाकर वीकेंड पर एटीएम में कैश भरने और हाफ-ईयरली क्लोजिंग के लिए मजबूर किया जा रहा है।

हम कोई 30 मंजिला कॉर्पोरेट बिल्डिंग, सेंट्रलाइज्ड एसी या लग्जरी कैफेटेरिया नहीं मांग रहे हैं; हम केवल एक बुनियादी वर्क-लाइफ बैलेंस मांग रहे हैं। अगर हमारे कुछ दिन काम न करने से पूरे सिस्टम में पैनिक फैल जाता है, तो यह साबित करता है कि बैंकर्स ही इस देश की अर्थव्यवस्था की असली रीढ़ हैं। सभी साथियों से अपील है कि शांतिपूर्ण लेकिन एकजुट होकर खड़े हों। अगर आज हम इस दबाव के आगे चुप रह गए, तो कल यह शोषण प्रबंधन की स्थायी नीति बन जाएगा।
