@priteshpatel9@tobstar@SearchPilot have case studies showing traffic increases from localising content from UK to US English - so there can be an advantage from differentiated content. There is additional complexity, especially if it's a large site.
@danbarker@kristaseiden@jackiecchu@randfish And the messaging that downplays the level of change. You open it expecting not much to change and struggle to do the most basic things, so think it's awful.
@TaylorDanRW I didn't mean in terms of it being dropped - I've seen pages Google knows about "forgotten" very quickly when they're not indexed and have no links. My working theory was that links were the "memory" part known (not indexed) pages, rather than Google maintaining a list.
@ohgm Seen millions of (otherwise orphan) pages disappear when removed from sitemaps - could be similar here, with "spam" pages removed leaving the other pages with no links, and quickly forgotten.
@rvtheverett I think if the ad links to an external site then clicking for more details is counted as an application, which is why some seem to have so many!
