Commissioned by Henri Christophe and completed in 1820, La Citadelle Laferrière (Sitadèl-Laferyè in kreyol) was built to ward off invasions from the French following the Haitian revolution. It is one of Haïti’s national landmarks, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and symbolizes the strength of the Haitian people against adversity.

It was truly an honor to get to do this. I’m so proud to be Haitian 🇭🇹❤️
