Shout out to not-big-city pride organizations throughout Alberta. You folks are continuing to do really important organizing and activism and are incredible. As a big city queer I think I can sometimes take for granted that we'll have an annual Pride Parade but you're awesome. 1/

Folks like the organizers behind @MedHatPride @CentralABPride @JasperPride @LethPrideFest, Lakeland Pride, Taber Pride, Maskwacis, and so many others. You remind me why we need to keep fighting every day. #abpride #abqueer #ablgbtq2

People who aren't straight or cisgender live throughout this province and deserve support and acceptance and love and these folks are working to make that a reality for more and more of our queer and trans and two-spirit siblings. #abqueer #abpride #yql #ymm #yxh

Eighteen communities from Grande Prairie to Jasper to Lloydminster to Lacombe to Taber had pride events in one way or another in 2017.

Good work being done on the ground to make lives for LGBTQ2+ Albertans better.

Thank-you.

Ours too! The intent behind starting it was: we wish we had this when we were students. Why wait? We are the ones we were waiting for. And now you've given the Scholarship a major sustainability boost. Thank you so much for joining in on the vision.
