The largest chimp community, Ngogo had about 200 individuals living together peacefully for over 20 years. But over time, changes began to appear.
As we speak, about 24 individuals have been lost, including 17 infants and 7 males. This reflects early human-like conflict patterns, especially linked to territory.
The very first observed fight, recorded to happen once every 500 years. This is history!

Uganda Wildlife Authority has received 8 rhinos from South Africa this morning , a significant milestone for conservation and tourism in Uganda.
Representing the Minister of @MTWAUganda, Mr. Basil Ajer expressed optimism about the growing rhino population and the steady progress in rebuilding conservation efforts.
Ag. UWA-ED, Mr. Makombo John, the Commissioner for Conservation and Biodiversity Management, welcomed the arrival and emphasised the importance of dedicated care and long-term protection for these animals, marking this as an important moment for Uganda’s conservation journey.
