Don’t tell us you want to play college or professional baseball and in the same breath “not have time” for a maintenance program
Of COURSE you’re not injured - nobody PLANS to be injured!
NOBODY CARES WHAT TEAM YOU’RE ON! 🗣️
At some point you have to stop associating yourself/living and dying by what team you’re on.👎
✅In HS, nobody cares what little league team you played on.
✅In college, nobody cares what high school you went to
✅In professional baseball, nobody cares where you played in college
There has to be a burning desire to improve YOURSELF, and not associate your success by the team you are on.⚡️
There’s plenty of guys at the #1 school in the country that won’t ever play professional baseball, and there’s guys from the university of north south Nazarene Wesleyan college of the arts that have been hall of famers.🫡
Figure out where is the best place for YOU to improve and go get it 👊
Become robust this offseason.
Lift heavy, in deep ranges.
Move your body in different ways, then add weight/resistance to it.
Move your spine, bend it for a long time, bend it with weight, bend it and move something. Don’t be scared.
As with everything, start slow and grow.
The WORST mistake we see young athletes make:
Having NO plan
WHERE will you train this winter?
WHEN will you train?
WHAT are your short/term goals?
How will you measure it?
A plan is your roadmap. Yes - you may need to reroute. But without a map, you’re just guessing
⚾️ Does your shoulder hurt when you throw? 🔥 Shoulder flexion may be the problem.
Give the Landshark a try!
This stretch will really target your lats to give you the ability to improve your shoulder flexion and arm slot!
Tag a teammate who's been struggling with this issue.
The start of the pro offseason is right around the corner.
Take time off throwing a baseball and lifting in the gym, but still keep active
For throwing, just throw a football around, or go to a lake a skip rocks.
Lifting, could be anything that keeps you moving around
Should kids throw curveballs? 🤔
It’s not about age, it’s about movement.
If a player moves well & builds athletic skills, curveballs aren’t the issue.
The problem?
When little Billy can’t touch his toes but is ripping 30 a game.
👉 Prioritize Movement and Flow > pitches.
When young athletes tell us want to go D1
but don’t know how many grams of protein they eat
they don’t lift consistently
they play games year round
there’s a gap there
There’s no way to know for certain. And there’s no true “best” exercise but there are 3 we love
Consistency is key

@FBInjuryDoc Edwin, quick question. Best exercises for strengthening shoulder when I have shoulder pain after and/or while throwing? Just a normal dude trying to be able to throw to my son lol.
