I explained on @NewsCentralTV that @Somaliland has the strongest legal and historical case for statehood, and that the lack of recognition has everything to do with politics and nothing to do with international law.

Dear @elonmusk Please correct this location "somalia" since #Somaliland has now been recognized by Israel this incorrect location, is still used by google but it puts #Somalilanders at risk in many ways. Thank you.
To our friends in Somaliland 🇸🇴🤍🇮🇱
We know it’s been a while. We’ve been busy, but we haven’t forgotten you. We value the attention and momentum we helped build around Israel–Somaliland ties, especially during the recognition efforts, and we’re excited to deepen that relationship moving forward.

#Somaliland president intends to rely on #Israel's networks of influence worldwide to secure further recognitions in the future. Somaliland's status has been directly discussed b/w #US and #UAE officials, with Washington advising its Gulf allies to proceed cautiously on the issue
The Somaliland Mission to the United States sincerely thanks the State of Israel for recognizing the Republic of Somaliland as a sovereign and independent state. This recognition reflects not only shared democratic values, but a clear understanding of Somaliland’s strategic importance and shared interests in the Horn of Africa.
For more than three decades, Somaliland has functioned as a democratic, self-governing state and a beacon of stability in the region. Through peaceful transfers of power, one-person one-vote elections, and a strong commitment to free enterprise, Somaliland has defied regional instability and democratic backsliding.
We look forward to joining the Abraham Accords and building a partnership with Israel focused on security cooperation, trade, and economic development.
Salam, Shalom.

Israel officially recognizes the Republic of Somaliland as an independent and sovereign state. Statement by Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar:
"Over the past year, relations between Israel and Somaliland have developed on the basis of extensive and ongoing dialogue. In accordance with the decision of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President of Somaliland Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi, today we have signed an agreement on mutual recognition and the establishment of full diplomatic relations, which will include the appointment of ambassadors and the opening of embassies.
We will work together to strengthen relations between our countries and peoples, regional stability, and economic prosperity."
I looked at the map to see where this Somaliland is located. It’s a strategically important place for Israel—northern part of the Horn of Africa, and right across the Gulf of Aden from Yemen. It will come in handy!
From a Kurdish citizen of Kurdistan to my brothers and sisters in Somaliland:
I congratulate Somaliland on its independence! Thank you to every country, foreign or Muslim, that recognized this new state and its people, who have long suffered injustice, oppression, and persecution, and who chose their path to self-determination and declared their new nation.
We wish you all the best, peace, prosperity, and progress.

Three decades of peace, functioning institutions, constitutional order, and democratic practice are not theoretical claims they are lived realities.
Somaliland has demonstrated the core attributes of statehood through stability, governance, and the consent of its people.
Recognition is not the creation of a reality; it is the acknowledgment of one that already exists.
Statement by @gidonsaar, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Israel:
“The scenes of genuine joy witnessed across Somaliland last night give hope for the future. We will continue to strengthen the partnership and deepen the friendship between our two nations.”

Somaliland just changed Africa. This is Somaliland. Such a brave, peace loving nation deserves respect and recognition by the United States, not only by Israel. This is a historic moment for Africa and the Muslim world, not just for Somaliland. It reflects the courage of a democratic, civilized nation that believes in mutual recognition between states, not in kidnapping babies like Hamas terrorists did in Gaza, and not in the mass killing of two million Christians like the Sudan Muslim Brotherhood led army did.
Make Somaliland Great Again (MSGA).
This is what real leadership looks like.
